About Me

I am an Associate in the Employment team and member of the TMT and Education sectors at Irwin Mitchell LLP, providing commercial, practical and plain speaking advice. 

I assist sixth form colleges in relation to employment law issues including recruitment, sickness absence, disciplinary issues and TUPE. 

I help technology companies in relation to recruitment of specialists and protection of business interests (including advice on post termination restrictions, intellectual property and the use of social media, wearables and BYOD in the workplace). 

Advising employers and employees on Employment Tribunal claims (including discrimination, whistleblowing, breach of contract, unfair dismissal and employment status) by providing advice and assistance with the process as well as taking a commercial view of the circumstances. 

Providing corporate support on purchases or sales including advice in relation to TUPE and preparation of settlement agreements, service agreements and consultancy. 

Providing support and creative solutions on day to day HR issues (for example disciplinary and grievance matters, performance related issues and the management of long term sickness absence) to help minimise the time and cost to businesses of dealing with this issues. 

Advising employers and employees on potential claims and negotiating settlements and settlement agreements on their behalf to reach agreeable exits and to finalise any disputes.

Presenting at seminars and providing employers with legislation updates, training and practical advice on how to apply any changes so that you businesses can keep up to date in an ever changing legal background.

Working with employers to develop policies and practices for dealing with the use of social media, wearables and BYOD by staff in the workplace to ensure that technology really works for the business.
